Summer 2020
One thing I love about the season of summer is the copious possibilities ☾ Watching my friends shine every bit as brightly as they should is the loveliest + most humane kind of magic ⋒. This past Saturday, I met up with my dear friends - Amy & Tessie - for a girls' day out before meeting with the rest of our friend group for dinner. Women supporting other women is very empowering to me and I am very glad to have a group of close girlfriends that are very supporting of each other's ambitions.
I thought I would also add some tips I have learned about portrait & brand photography for those wanting to book a portrait session with me. I have listened to multiple branding podcasts and I am so inspired to create timeless and classic portraits for my clients that will last a lifetime.
- Choose timeless & classic professional outfits. Try to avoid prints and go more for solid colors.
- Choose a photographer that you truly connect with. You should be comfortable around your photographer to make your portraits more natural. Practice smiling and working your angles if you're uncomfortable in front of the camera.
- Pick locations and props that reflects your brand.
- Consider professional make-up. The 'natural-look' make-up will make your portraits stand out.
